Breastfeeding: Lights, Action... Lactation

MEL, VIC 21st September 2019

Lights, Action… Lactation

Spotlight on developing skills to support breastfeeding in the real world

This conference will explore the physiology, biology and practical aspects of breastfeeding in today’s world. While there is much advice given to breastfeeding mothers, much of it is not evidence based.

This program is intended to be an entry level training for health workers or volunteers working with breastfeeding women. This training will give you a deeper understanding of the breastfeeding dyad and will include practical strategies to support breastfeeding mothers as well as reviewing research on breastfeeding. Problem solving activities will help you to consolidate your learning and skills.
