Conferences

While conferences have taken a back-seat during recent times, nothing beats actually being there! Conferences are held live in cities around Australia and provide the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops, meet presenters in person, network with colleagues and browse the market hall. Where possible we will offer conferences as an online webinar for those who do not have the time to attend the live conference.

Webinars

Webinars are presented entirely online. You don't have to be at a certain place at a certain time - you can access them in your own time, at your own pace from anywhere in the world from any device - desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. All you need is a good internet connection. Webinars are usually streamed for around 12 weeks giving you plenty of time to watch, or re-watch the presentations.

eLearning modules

Elearning modules are short packages of online presentations and supporting reading material that include a multiple-choice quiz. Usually around 1-3 hours in length, perfect for those who are time poor and don't wish to commit to an entire conference or just need to pick up a few extra accreditation points.

Accreditation points

All conferences, webinars and elearning modules are accredited with CERPs and ACM CPDs and may be claimed for professional education from nursing, midwifery, medical and allied health bodies in your country. Please check individual program details for point allocations.

Certificate of participation

Once you complete a conference, webinar or elearning module you will be able to download your record of participation. Simply complete the declaration and your official certificate of participation will be generated for you to download as a record, including points earned. Should you lose your certificate you can easily login and print another one from your personal historical record.

Registrations & private members area

When you register for the first time you will automatically have a private Members Area account set up for you under the email address you used to register that is password secured. You will use this area to view webinars and eLearning programs, check your registration history, download certificates of participation, access handout notes and tax receipts. It is very important that you use the same email address whenever you register to avoid having duplicate accounts. We recommend using your personal email address and not your company email (as these can change).

Individual and small group bookings.

Register and pay for yourself - A confirmation of booking will be emailed to you along with a tax receipt.
Register for yourself and others. - You can choose to pay for everyone or have them pay for themselves. A confirmation of booking will be emailed to all registrants - ideal for small groups.
Register and pay for others - Use this if you are registering for someone else but not yourself. They will be emailed a confirmation of booking and you will be emailed a tax receipt - perfect for companies or organisation paying for employees.

Group booking discounts (If available)

It's more fun to participate as a group! And everyone saves! Book a room at your hospital or workplace and you can watch the conference as a group, allowing time for discussion between lectures. However, each delegate also receives their own log in details so they can watch or re-watch the conference in their own time.

Group booking discounts are subject to minimum group numbers - please check the number required to receive a discount for your chosen event. You must all register as a group - select the Group Booking price button and choose an registration option:

1] Register for yourself and others - great for private groups, clubs and associations. You can choose to pay for everyone or have everyone pay for themselves. You will need know the names and personal email addresses of all people you are booking for, then follow the step by step instructions. Each person registered will get a separate email to confirm their booking and personal details, if they are paying their own registration fee they will also receive a tax invoice when they pay. If you are paying for everyone you will get a tax invoice for the full group price.

2] Register for other people (but not yourself) - perfect for companies. You register on behalf of other people but are not attending yourself You can choose to pay for everyone or have everyone pay for themselves. You will need know the names and personal email addresses of all people you are booking for, then follow the step by step instructions. Each person registered will get a separate email to confirm their booking and personal details, if they are paying their own registration fee they will also receive a tax invoice when they pay. If you are paying for everyone you will get a tax invoice for the full group price.

Pricing & payment

We offer earlybird discounts for advanced bookings, student discounts and discounts for those not currently working and earning a wage, as well as international equity pricing options. From time to time we will also promote specials such as bundled price options.
We accept:
Major credit cards - Access available once transaction has been processed. Typically within an hour.
AfterPay - Australian citizens only (please ensure Australia is selected in your registration address details). Access available once transaction has been processed. Typically within an hour.
PayPal - Access available once transaction has been processed. Typically within an hour.
Bank transfer and cheque - you will not be able to access the program until payment has been received and processed.
Please note: Payment transactions are governed by the rules set out by your preferred payment method and company/system used. You should check their guidelines for any fees and conditions. We do not store credit card details or personal banking information. We use Stripe for credit card and AfterPay transactions.

Cancellation & refunds

Live conferences

  • Cancellations & requests for refunds need to be received in writing via email and are made at the discretion of Breastfeeding Conferences.
  • Cancellations for live conferences must be received 72 hours before the commencement of the conference.
  • If COVID restrictions lead to the cancellation of the conference, the conference will be held as an online conference and your registration will be converted to a registration for the online conference.
  • If COVID restrictions mean you can't attend you will receive a full refund.
  • For all other cancellations, an administration fee of $40AUD may be deducted from each refund.

Online conferences

  • Refunds will not be granted for failure to attend, software incompatibility or internet issues. Please ensure technical compatibility or email us for technical support.

At Breastfeeding Conferences we understand that health professionals are not remunerated equally in all countries. We are committed to providing cost effective education anywhere in the world. Therefore we are happy to offer discounted prices for citizens working in tier 2 and 3 countries (see information on country categories below).
